Jonathan Spitzer and Michelle Fracasso of Wells Hill Farm in Weston and chef Gerard Clinton of the Aspetuck Valley Country Club were featured on an episode of Born to Explore with Richard Wiese, titled Farm to Fork, which aired on Saturday, April 4.

The show was broadcast on ABC and will air again on Saturday, May 23. The show followed host Richard Wiese as he traveled across three continents to find out how a worldwide movement called “farm to table” is transforming what people eat, the way they eat and the way they live.

The episode featured Wells Hill Farm, showcasing how Michelle and Jonathan are committed to organic farming, feeding healthy food to their two young daughters, and educating them about where their food comes from.

The show closed with a performance of the song “Michelle’s Farm” in honor of Michelle Fracasso by local musicians Jason Pharr and Raymond Bryant.

In honor of the Weston-centric show, a special screening of the Farm to Fork episode of Born to Explore was held at the Aspetuck Valley Country Club last Saturday. Chef Clinton prepared a special appetizer of Eggs Three Ways using fresh eggs supplied by Wells Hill Farm.

Donations were collected at the screening for the Green Village Initiative of Bridgeport (GVI), which turns unused urban spaces in Bridgeport into community farms, supplying the local school system with fresh vegetables.
